Ahmad Hakroosh

I started at Amdocs building telecom systems at enterprise scale, then spent three years at Yad2, Israel's largest online marketplace, where I moved from engineer to engineering manager and grew the team from 2 to 13 while re-platforming to Node.js, Python, and microservices.

As a founding engineer at Stratyfy I built a fintech platform from an empty repository to enterprise customers, and later led its engineering. At Fyllo I guided the decomposition of a large monolith and shipped machine-learning features across a 30-person, six-country organization.

Today I work on high-throughput IoT platforms at Lytx, where the ingestion architecture I designed handles more than 500K events per second. Alongside that, I help companies with architecture reviews, platform modernization, and engineering leadership.

Hands-on technical leader with deep expertise in backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, event-driven systems, and building engineering cultures focused on ownership, quality, and execution.

The best architecture is the one your team can operate at 3am. I favor proven building blocks, clear service boundaries, and observability over novelty.

Incremental over big-bang

Every monolith I have decomposed was done while the business kept shipping. Migrations are planned as a sequence of safe, reversible steps.

Ownership scales, heroics do not

Teams that own their services end to end deliver faster and sleep better. I build the reviews, standards, and tooling that make ownership possible.

Write it down

Decisions, trade-offs, and runbooks live in documents, not in one person's head. It is how teams onboard in days instead of months.
